Outing to Royal Army Logistics Corps Museum Deepcut 35th Anniversary Visit

Forthcoming Meetings

Mar 17 Capt Graham Bandy speaking On "Researching Military Ancestors". He will take three examples - from early 19c, WWI and WWII.

April 21 `Flora Thompson - Beyond Candleford Green'. John Owen Smith will lift the veil over little known aspects of the adult Flora Thompson's life and her surprising Surrey connections. If you have enjoyed the popular TV series, this will delight you, and also shed light on early 20th century rural life.

May 19 `Locating Marriage records'. This should be an extremely interesting and useful talk by Else Churchill, SOG genealogy officer. Many researches grind to a halt for lack of proof of marriages on vital connections. Come and learn important tips from an expert.

June 12 (Saturday 2 pm) To celebrate our 35th anniversary a visit has been arranged to the Royal Army Logistics Corps Museum in Deepcut. This is an excellent modernised museum with broad appeal, and if necessary research arrangements can be made for a later occasion. We hope to serve refreshments. It is essential you advise me in advance if you are joining us.
