WSFHS Indexes and Research

The Surrey War Memorials Index (about 35,000 names of those who died in the two World Wars) and The Surrey Soldiers Index (details of over 14,000 men who died in the First World War)  have been published in the Microfiche Series : click here    Other published indexes include the Surrey Poor Law Index and Calendar,  Surrey Burials Index to 1865, The Surrey Marriage Index to 1837, the 1851 Census Index to Western Surrey - all in the Compact Disc Series http:click here -  and many other indexes in the Record Series.

Work continues on other indexes, including the Computerised Index of Surrey Monumental Inscriptions , containing over 70,000 names of people recorded on monuments. Another index that Paul Charleton is in the process of producing, is an index of all the family announcements from The Camberley News and associated papers.
